Lilian Tankard has over thirty-five years of experience in tourism, in both her current position as Director of Partnership Programs & Visitor Experiences at Travel Manitoba and her past career having worked at one of Canada’s oldest stone forts, Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site.
Lilian has been responsible for revenue generation and industry relations for Travel Manitoba but most recently, Lilian has been working on the development of a Provincial Tourism Strategy, three Destination Assessments in Manitoba’s North and is part of an advisory committee working on the development of Manitoba’s Indigenous Tourism Strategy.
Her passion for Culture and Heritage is evident in her past career at a National Historic Site and her current involvement in a volunteer role on the board of the Dalnavert Museum in Winnipeg.
